How does it work?

When your friend buys a US Unlocked Card, the application fee is $10 instead of $15. While you receive a $5 credit in your account which will be added to your next card load payment.
When the next friend buys a US Unlocked Card through the unique link, another $5 is added. It will now say '+$10.00 User Referral Bonus'. When 10 friends apply, your bonus will be $50, etc.The more friends you invite the higher your referral bonus will be.

How to Avoid Inactivation of Your US Unlocked Card

There are no monthly maintenance fees on the US Unlocked Card, but you do risk inactivation when:
- there has not been any activity on your card for 4 months, or
- the card has had a zero balance for 3 months, or
- the Nxpay account has not been activated after 3 months
To avoid your US Unlocked Card getting inactivated, below are a few tips.
Make sure to activate the Nxpay account when your card is first issued. You will receive an activation email from NXpay. Just follow the simple instructions to activate the account. You will log into your NXpay account to check your transactions and manage your account.
Maintain a positive balance on your card. We automatically send you a notification when the balance drops below $15. If you prefer to set a different threshold you can do so on the bottom of your personal account page.
Keep the card active. We might send you a notification when there has not been any activity for 30 days. This will be your cue to make a (small) transaction. We recommend keeping track of your activity and balance by logging into your NXpay account regularly.
If your account does become inactive, the balance of your card is moved off and put in an internal account. A $5 inactivity fee is charged. To have the card re-activated and/or to transfer your balance you will be charged a $20.
All the more reason to keep your US Unlocked Card active.

That you have sufficient balance.The bank charges $0.50 for every successful transaction and $0.75 for every unsuccessful transaction. If your balance is $25 and your purchase is $24.99 your payment will be declined because of insufficient balance.Your balance should also be enough to cover the sales tax and the domestic shipping cost associated with your purchase.D. That you have checked the merchant policiesSome merchants have specific policies regarding acceptance of prepaid debit cards and freight forwarding addresses.NOTE 1: Keep in mind that we do not provide shipping services. So, you will use the US Unlocked billing address and your MyUS shipping address when you place your order.NOTE 2: You will not be able to use the card for a monthly subscription, such as Netflix* and Spotify*. This card does not allow recurring payments.You will also not be able to link your card to Paypal or try to make a payment with the card on Paypal. The card will not be accepted. Neither does HuluPlus accept the card.The bank charges a $0.75 POS decline fee for every unsuccessful transaction.

How to Get the US Unlocked Card, a Prepaid Debit Card with US Billing Address

To be able to get the US Unlocked Card you need to sign up first. This only takes a minute. Then go to the US Unlocked Card page.
Application procedure

- ID number (the document number of the passport or driver's license)
- Country issued
Please, upload 2 documents:
- one valid government issued photo ID like a passport or driver's licence
- one recent (not older than 3 months) bill or statement that was addressed to your name to the address in your account. Accepted documents are: (cell) phone bill, gas or electricity bill and a bank or credit card statement. Screen shot

If your documents are written in a language that does not use the Roman alphabet, please opt for a passport and a credit card statement as these are usually written in English.
If you receive an email stating that your ID verification status is incomplete, please log into your account and check if any message was left for you in the notes field which indicates what step to take to get the accepted status.

Now that your ID verification status is accepted, you can make a card load payment. Just submit the desired load amount and the load fees are automatically added when linked to the payment page. Screen shot
Although we strive to have card load payments clear to the cards as soon as possible, it may take 2-4 business days. Our business days run from Monday to Friday. For example: if you make a card load payment on a Thursday, the funds will be put on your card on our before the Tuesday after. Bank holidays may cause an extra delay.
Your US Unlocked Card is issued when the first card load payment clears. The US Unlocked Card is a virtual card which means that you will not receive a plastic card in the mail. All the card details needed to make online payments will show to you in your account on the US Unlocked Card page.

New settings for Minimum Balance US Unlocked Card

Since a few weeks we have started to send notifications when your balance on the US Unlocked Card drops below $15 to improve the efficiency of the card use.
Now, you are able to set your own threshold on your personal account page between $15 and $500.
Users sometimes find that they discover their low balance too late and have to wait until their new card load payment clears before they can make the purchase they were planning for. Setting your own threshold will prevent you from getting into a situation like that. You will receive a notification reminding you of the low balance so you can make a new card load payment in time.
