After weeks of rumors about the launch of the 'iPad 3' or 'iPad HD', today the new iPad was presented at a big San Francisco event by Apple.Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, explained how the new iPad has much a much crisper image due to the new 'Retina Display'. It will have a more powerful camera, the 'iSight' and better battery life.Apple has added LTE 4G from Verizon and AT&T which will increase browsing and internet speed.
The new iPad has become available for pre-order right after the announcement was over and will be delivered on March 16. The pricing remains the same, although the iPad2 is now offered at cheaper prices.
As usual, at US Unlocked the new iPad is 'abuzz' among our users. Just like with the first iPad and the iPad2 these first adopters are not waiting to get their hands on it before the tablet computer finally makes it to their country (if it all). From experience we do want to advise that Apple tries to initially block purchases going to freight forwarding addresses with any new iPad release. Some orders will always go through, but we would hate to see you disappointed.
If you are planning to buy an iPad 3rd generation from outside the US, there are a few things to keep in mind:- There is a 7% sales tax over the purchasing cost to NJ
- The shipping cost to your country will be based on 3- 4 lbs (dim) weight.
- Go with the AT&T option for 4G which is supposedly 'unlockable'
Regarding the above word of caution, we recommend not buying any accessories yet. If Apple decides to cancel your iPad order, it will still ship the accessories and they do not take them back.

Hi, I am planning to buy the new IPad. What do i do after i have created a new iTunes account with US billing address? Buy the IPad from iTunes store or apple website?
