Kinect for Xbox 360, controller-free gaming

Gaming by andrew on Sunday November 14th '10, 10:14 pm

This month Microsoft launched the Kinect for Xbox 360 in the USA. With the Kinect, you no longer need to hold a controller. Have a look at the demo to see how cool gaming can be when you are the controller!

The Kinect is a horizontal sensor device with built-in range camera technology which interprets 3D scene information from a continuously-projected infrared pattern.

This month Kinect will be available as well in Europe, Japan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. However, voice recognition capabilities will be available in Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States at launch, but have been postponed until spring 2011 in mainland Europe.

The Kinect competes with Wii and Playstation consoles and is bound to be a hot seller this holiday season.

These are your purchase options:

  • Kinect + Kinect Adventures game $149.99
  • Kinect + Xbox 360 4 GB game console + Kinect Adventures game $299.99
  • Kinect + Xbox 360 250 GB game console + Kinect Adventures game $399.99

Extra games are available for $49.99. At US Unlocked we predict Dance Central to become the most popular. And when ordering from ToysRus you'll get 40% off the second game you put in your cart! Toys R Us
