Did you know that it is very easy to link your US Unlocked Card to a U.S .PayPal account? The advantage is enormous as it allows you to shop from even more US web stores. Here is a list of just some popular stores where our customers have shopped using their card through PayPal:
- Tommy Hilfiger
- Calvin Klein
- Kate Spade
The actual list goes on endlessly. So just how do you go about linking your US Unlocked Card to PayPal?
Connect over VPN from a U.S. IP location and go to sign up.
To check whether your VPN is working you can go to whatismyipaddress.com. The IP location will need to be somewhere in the U.S.A.
When you go to the PayPal website to set up a new US account from a U.S. IP address, please make sure to also check the URL. If you still see an extension in the URL for your country you may need to clear your cache first.
Follow the sign up steps below:
Now link your card. Your US Unlocked debit card and billing address are available to you on My Card.
Your account has been set up successfully. Congratulations!
You are now ready to use this PayPal account for making payments to U.S. merchants! Using a U.S. PayPal account is a great work around to successfully place orders with retailers who do not accept orders with freight forwarding addresses.
Note 1: When you are linking your card, Paypal will ‘ping’ the card to see if it has any balance. During this process an authorization request is sent to the processor which will result in a $0.50 POS fee. If your card does not have a balance, you cannot link your card (load your card first).
Note 2: You will verify your card by identifying the small deposit PayPal will place on the card (identify on Transaction History page). However you will not be able to verify the PayPal account through a bank account as this card is not linked to a bank account. You will also NOT be able to withdraw funds from the Paypal account to your US Unlocked Card.
