Always traveling with our laptops can be a pain. Owning a more lightweight and portable device is beneficial. Luckily for us, there are more and more devices that fit in this category. We take pleasure in recommending some of the best tablets of 2016. Each tablet features different operating systems. Something for iOS, Android, and Windows users.
iPad Pro 9.7-inch
Last year Apple released the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and many got blown away. However, it was just too big. It turned the iPad that was loved by the masses into a giant. This year’s 9.7-inch iPad Pro perfected the flaws of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The 9.7-inch Pro has better glare reduction, which is ideal for use in direct sunlight. Also, there are enhancements to Apple’s TruTone automatic color adjustments. This helps the iPad adjust the color to match your surroundings. These improvements help push the iPad in a better direction as an outdoor or indoor device. Furthermore, you can record 4K video with the 12-megapixel rear camera. Taking selfies is easily done with the 5-megapixel front facing camera with Retina Flash. With the addition of both cameras, you will have yourself an iPad equipped with the same cameras found in the iPhone 6S.

Google Pixel C
The more affordable tablet of the bunch is Google’s Pixel C. The Pixel C was Google’s first attempt at building their very own tablet. This tablet is considered by some to be the best Android tablet. Why? Because the Pixel C performance is that much better than any other Android tablet we have seen. The resolution outweighs that of the iPad Pro and the Surface Pro 4. At 308 pixels per inch, the Pixel C is brighter than the competitions. Video games and movies both look beautiful on this tablet. Apps download and launch quickly. Split screen multitasking can be down with the new Android 7.0 Nougat. Although Google’s Pixel C was not intended to replace your laptop like Apple’s iPad Pro, it is extremely portable and easy to you on the go.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4
Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 is still the tablet that Apple’s iPad Pro and Google’s Pixel C is aiming to beat. In short, the Surface Pro 4 fixed all that was wrong with the Surface Pro 3. The most liked improvement was the very much adjustable kickstand. Additionally, the pen no longer needs to be slipped through the loop of the keyboard. Instead, it connects securely to the side via strong magnets. The Type Cover keyboard, which also connects via magnets shows a noticeable difference from previous Surface Pros. The keys are now island style, as opposed to being tightly packed. Typing on the keyboard feels natural. Ultimately, the Surface Pro 4 is a tablet with a stylus (or pen as Microsoft calls it) and highly likable keyboard, which runs Windows 10. Out of the three tablets mentioned, this is the one that can more likely replace a big bulky laptop.
