Nike is the largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel in the world. Founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports, the company changed its name to Nike in 1971 from the Greek Goddess of victory. They also introduced the Swoosh logo that same year. Nike is headquartered in Portland, Oregon with more than 700 shops and offices in 43 countries.
